The actor responded to people complaining about actors dancing at wedding functions and parties in his own unfiltered way, and it left the internet in splits.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui reacts to actors dancing at events and weddings
During a recent conversation with All About Eve on their YouTube channel, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was asked if he would mind dancing at parties and wedding functions. The phenomenal actor got too candid in his response, which has since gone viral. The actor called all actors Bh**nds and shared that it is their profession. He added that there was nothing wrong with it and was quoted as saying:
“Log boltey hai ki star log jaakey dance kartey hai parties mei, wedding mei. Toh kya hua kartey hai toh? Wahi toh profession hai unka. Bh**nd hi toh hai hum. Ismey kya problem hai.”
In the same conversation, Nawaz explained how Bh**nds were not allowed to mingle with society in earlier times. He added that they would only be allowed to enter for a show and then had to return. He further explained that this was because they were open-minded people who didn’t want to follow any rules or norms. He was quoted as saying:
“Pehle kya hota tha ki nautanki waghera hoti thi na, cinema se pehle, toh in logo ko, Bh**nd logo ko na, sheher se bahar rakha jaata tha, tent mei. Ki aao show karo aur challey jao. Sheher mei society mei aane ki koi zaroorat nahi hai aapko. Yeh hota tha. Woh nahi rakhtey the society ke beech mei. Kyuki azzaad khayal k log hai, free bohot zaada open minded hai ke, koi dharam imaan nahi hai, isiliey society ke bahar rakhtey the.”
Further in the conversation, Nawazuddin explained how the times had changed; he recalled that now actors were wearing better clothes and had more money. He added that while they no longer like being referred to as Bh**nds. However, the profession hasn’t changed much since then. He was quoted as saying:
“Abhi kya ho gaya hai ki paisa waisa aa gaya hai, acche kapde pehel liye hai, acchi language mei baat karoge. Problem ye ho gaya hai ki, Bh**nd logo ko ki society mei bhi rehna chahatey hai aur ye dance aur fungiri bhi chalti rehti hai unki. Kyuki koi bolta hai unko toh dukh hota hai, but profession toh yahi tha na.”
