A video of a little boy crying after a langoor snatched food from his hands has triggered outrage on social media, with many slamming his father for choosing to film the moment rather than protect his child.

The 37-second clip, shared by the X account Ghar Ke Kalesh, shows the little boy sitting on a table when a langoor suddenly appears and grabs the food from his hands.

Visibly frightened, the child bursts into tears while the langoor sits beside him, eating the stolen food.

What has infuriated the internet is the father’s response. Rather than stepping in to help, he continues filming the incident and is heard saying, “Baithe raho, kaatega nahi (Keep sitting. He won’t bite).”

As the boy continues crying, a woman’s voice is heard in the background urging someone to protect the little boy: “Arre woh ro raha hai. Hataa lo (He is crying).” To this, the father responds casually, “Arre nahi kaatega. Papa hai toh (He won’t bite. His father is here).”

In the comments section, social media users lashed out at the child’s father for prioritising social media content over the little boy’s safety and emotional well-being.

The viral video has also sparked conversations about the growing trend of filming children for content.
