Uh-oh, 51’s battalion chief, Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney), is facing some serious questions in the Chicago Fire Season 13 finale, titled “It Had to End This Way.”
In the Wednesday, May 21, episode, Severide (Taylor Kinney) puts his job on the line to help out one of their own, Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) navigates Natalie’s (Ava Torres) complicated relationship with her sister, and Herrmann (David Eigenberg) prepares to take the chief test. The promo that aired after the penultimate episode, which saw Pascal under suspicion for trying to kill the man responsible for his wife’s death and ended with the chief being walked out of 51 by Van Meter (Tim Hopper) and OFI and CPD officers, focuses on possible ramifications for Severide helping him.
There’s evidence that Pascal tried to kill Robert Franklin, a detective tells Pascal in a police interrogation room in the finale promo. Van Meter warns Severide that he wasn’t honest with him about the investigation, but the Squad lieutenant insists, “I didn’t lie about anything.” Still, the arson investigator warns him, “If Pascal goes down, you’re going with him.”
Watch the promo above for more, including what happens when the police serve Pascal with a warrant at home.
Then, scroll down to check out the photos from “It Had to End This Way,” which also offer a look at one of the calls 51 will be responding to. Between the video and images, we do get a sense of what to expect, but nothing we’re seeing is even hinting at how either Ritter (Daniel Kyri) and Carver (Jake Lockett) will be written out — unless one of them is going to be killed off during that incident. In April, it was announced that both Kyri and Lockett are leaving Chicago Fire after Season 13.
How do you think they’ll be written out? What are your predictions for the finale? Let us know in the comments section below.
