The sibling duo, Armaan Malik and Amaal Malik have mesmerised fans with their soulful music for more than a decade now. They made popular songs like Sun Maahi, Tera Main Intezaar and Ghar, which made them a household name. Apart from their work, the duo’s strong relationship has often impressed fans. However, the fans were shocked when Amaal shared a startling post on Instagram in March 2025 and announced that he had broken up ties with his family. At the same time, he claimed that they were trying to create a rift between him and his brother, Armaan. Since then, the brother duo hasn’t made a public appearance; fans were concerned about their bond. Recently, Armaan broke his silence on the same and opened up about his bond with Amaal.

Armaan Malik has been silent since Amaal announced that he was diagnosed with depression and broke his ties with his family. But recently, he shared that he is teaming up with his brother for a new single after Armaan focused for long on making independent music. Armaan sat down for an interview with the Hindustan Times and shared that nothing has changed between him and Amaal. Ending all the alleged gossip Armaan said:
“Our bond is and will always be the same.”
Armaan didn’t directly make any comment on the post shared by Amaal and the ensuing controversy. But, he took an indirect dig at the speculations made by fans and media. Excitedly talking about his single, BB, an upcoming Hindi-Punjabi track with Amaal, Armaan said:
“People can say what they want, but I know what I share with my brother. We’re solid. It (BB) is composed by Amaal, and I’ve sung it. We’re looking at releasing it in about a month.”

Amaal Malik shared an emotional post on his Instagram handle in March 2025. He shared that he was diagnosed with clinical depression and has been silent but can’t do it anymore. The singer revealed that his parents’ actions affected the bond between him and Armaan. Consequently, he announced that he was cutting all personal ties with them, which was vital for his healing. Later, he deleted the post and mentioned that nothing could change between him and his brother, Armaan, requesting everyone not to harass his parents. He had earlier penned:
“What really matters is that I am clinically depressed because of these happenings. Yes, I have only myself to blame for my actions, but my self-worth has been diminished countless times by the actions of near and dear ones who stole pieces of my soul. From now on, my interactions with my family will be strictly professional. This isn’t a decision made in anger but one born from the necessity to heal and reclaim my life. I refuse to let the past rob me of my future any longer.”
Armaan Malik’s career so far
Armaan Malik started his career at the age of 4. He made a professional start by competing in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs in 2006 and learnt Indian classical music for 10 years. The singer made his debut as a child singer in Bollywood in 2007 with Bum Bum Bole in Taare Zameen Par, under the musical direction of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Armaan made his debut as a playback singer with Tumko Toh Aana Hi Tha in Salman Khan starrer Jai Ho. He has sung popular songs like Naina, Main Hoon Hero Tera, Tumhe Apna Banane Ka, Wajah Tum Ho, Sab Tera and more.
