Ajay Devgn introduces Yug Devgan at Karate Kid: Legends Hindi trailer launch; father-son banter steals the show: “Yug BULLIES me…started throwing tantrums after dubbing for the film…”
Ajay Devgn began by saying, “I feel very proud. When he started dubbing, I was told that he would have to start his rehearsals first. On the first day of his rehearsal, I got a call informing that he did so well that they are going to incorporate some of his takes in the final cut! He took permission from the technician to call me. They agreed and he made me hear what he had dubbed by putting the phone on speaker. That felt so nice!”
Yug Devgan said, “I love him. Everyone loves him. He inspires me a lot.” When asked about watching his father for the first time on screen, Yug replied, “I saw a film and I didn’t know it was him! Then I realized that he’s a star. I couldn’t believe it!”
Ajay Devgn raised laughs as he joked, “He keeps making fun of me most of the times and he keeps bullying me!” A surprised Yug said, “I don’t. He’s lying!”
On a serious note, Ajay revealed, “Since a long time, he has been working out on his own. He measures, calculates and makes his own meals too. I can’t say that I have instilled it in him. It has come from his own interest.”
Yug Devgan was asked about his favourite scene from Karate Kid: Legends. He stated, “I love the scene where the father is training the son and taking the life out of (the latter). That reminded me of this guy (pointing at Ajay)!”
Ajay Devgn then got back by joking, “When Yug got the offer, he got excited about the fact that at this age, he got a chance to work. He doesn’t know yet what he wants to do in life. When he started working, he further got excited and also started throwing tantrums!”
Yug Devgan further said, “He trains me everytime I go to the gym.” The father, however, said, “Earlier, I used to train him. Most of the times, he now trains himself. Now he trains me.”
