Ibrahim Ali Khan, the son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, experienced a severe case of jaundice during his childhood, which resulted in hearing impairment and impacted his speech. The actor recently shared his struggles with speech from that time, explaining that while the situation isn’t entirely resolved, he continues to put in effort to improve it even now.

Ibrahim opened up about the challenges he faced with hearing and speech during his childhood. He stated, “Soon after I was born, I had very bad jaundice and that went straight to my brainstem. I went on to lose quite a bit of my hearing and that impacted my speech. My speech is something that I’ve had to work hard on since I was a child, with coaches and therapists. It’s not perfect; I’m still working really hard on it.”
Years ago, Amrita Singh appeared in an interview with Pooja Bedi, where she discussed some of the toughest times in her life. When asked if her divorce from Saif Ali Khan was the most difficult moment, the 2 States actress shared that the loss of her mother and dealing with Ibrahim’s health issues right after his birth were the most challenging experiences she faced. She had revealed, “My divorce comes much low down in the priority list of shocks.”
Ibrahim made his Bollywood debut with the Netflix film Nadaaniyan, co-starring Khushi Kapoor. In the same interview, he discussed how it felt to be harshly judged for the film. He said, “Technically speaking, nepotism has been around forever, but these girls became targets. I realised that anyone from a film background looking to debut as an actor from then on was going to face backlash, no matter how good they may be. I was prepared for it, but didn’t expect it to be so harsh.”
On the work front, Ibrahim Ali Khan is reportedly set to appear in Diler, a sports drama, where he will be paired with Sreeleela. The young actor will also star in Sarzameen alongside Kajol, which is directed by Kayoze Irani, the son of Boman Irani.
