Meghan Markle‘s estranged father Thomas Markle Sr is struggling at the age of 80 as the former Hollywood lighting director has moved out of Mexico and stays in a $660 per month high-rise apartment in the Philippines.A photo of him sitting outside a supermarket in his new home appeared raising concerns over the living conditions as Philippines’ Cebu is particularly known for its bad weather.Meghan Markle’s half-brother Thomas Markle Jr is staying with him in Cebu, and according to the locals, as quoted by UK Mirror, they recently moved to the Philippines and are still struggling to find their feet in the new city. “Thomas and his son only recently moved into the property and they are still finding their feet in Cebu after the big move abroad, but they’re here together and are firmly supporting each other,” one told Mirror. “There are only two types of weather in Cebu: hot and humid, and hot and humid and raining. It’s brutal even for men half his age, but it’s still sad to see him looking as though he’s struggling,” Mirror reported citing the same person.It is not yet known why Meghan’s father and half-brother moved out of Mexico and settled in a new city. But in one of his many incendiary interviews that he gave about Meghan, he said he was relocating to the other side of the world to escape the ‘awful drama’ with his daughter. He did not attend the Royal wedding and never met his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet.Meghan severed all her connections with her father when she got married to Prince Harry in 2018. Just before their wedding, Meghan’s father suffered two heart attacks. He feels Meghan never forgave him for missing her royal wedding. He was supposed to walk Meghan up the aisle. Meghan has been close to her mother Doria, after her parents’ divorce. Meghan’s mother was not her father’s first wife. He married her after divorcing his first wife Roslyn with whom he has a son, Thomas Junior and a daughter, Samantha.
