At the same time, she revealed how embracing motherhood after that painful experience changed her.

Sara Arfeen Khan married motivational speaker and actor, Arfeen Khan in 2009. When the duo decided to embrace parenthood after a few years of their marriage, they were met with two heartbreaks after Sara had two miscarriages back to back. It was a painful experience which had put Sara’s emotional strength to a test, and she thrived by getting over the trauma. The actress believes that one can’t experience motherhood fully until one becomes a mother. Sara, who dealt with the big loss before welcoming this joy in life, told The Times Of India:
“Motherhood is an extremely special emotion. Until you become a mother, you can only get close to understanding it—but never fully experience it. Unfortunately, I dealt with not one but two miscarriages. I felt like the world was crashing, and I thought I was the most unfortunate person.”
Despite the challenges, Sara, who is also a mind coach, kept an optimistic approach and didn’t give up on hope. Eventually, she welcomed twins, Zidane and Aizah in July 2019. The actress feels that she values being a mother more after facing initial setbacks and believes that it’s the most wonderful experience of her life. Sharing her feelings, Sara said:
“Maybe because I haven’t had it easy, I value the emotion and feeling of being a mother all the more. It’s the most beautiful feeling in the world. All my stress and fatigue magically vanish the moment I come home and see my little ones. As a woman, it’s the most special emotion one can experience. I am thankful to have experienced it so beautifully. Wishing all the beautiful and strong mothers out there a very Happy Mother’s Day. May God be our strength through everything.”
Sara Arfeen Khan reveals her husband wasn’t present during the birth of their twins
Sara Arfeen Khan, who came under the spotlight with her stint in Bigg Boss 18, once recalled a sensitive moment from her life on the show. She recalled that when she was due to give birth to her twins after two miscarriages and ten years of marriage, her husband, Arfeen, was not by her side. He had to leave for an urgent conference in which he had to address a crowd of five thousand people. Recalling the crucial moment, she shared:
“When my babies were born, Arfeen ko jana para from London to India to attend a seminar, Taaki woh 5,000 logo ko himmat de sake. Twins birth after ten years of marriage and two miscarriages. Arfeen couldn’t even be present for the birth of our twins.”
