The Jewel Thief actress recalled her joyful summer vacations growing up, saying, “I fondly remember our school summer vacation times. She would set this lovely routine for us which was a mix of learning a new hobby, reading a new book, learning to clean, help in some sort of cooking and watch movies. It was the best time of the year.” Speaking about her mother’s influence, she added, “I have always admired my mum for her will power, conviction and the courage to stay positive even in the toughest of times. Wish to take these forward from her.”
Pashmina Roshan
The Ishk Vishk Rebound actress, who shares a deeply artistic and emotional bond with her mother, shared, “Her grace. No matter what kind of day she’s had, or how much pain she might be in—she’s always on the front foot never letting it dictate how her day goes. She’s always smiling, always creating peace around her. Her happiness comes from within, and she chooses to lead with love every single day. The way she carries herself, the warmth she radiates —it’s something I deeply admire and hope to inherit one day.”
“Some of my fondest memories are of Mum turning everyday life into something magical. Whether it was transforming the house for a festival, helping me with a school project like it was her own, or letting me sit beside her while she painted or designed clothes—she always made me feel like I was part of her creative world. It wasn’t about big, grand gestures; it was in the little things she did with so much love. Those moments shaped the way I see joy, art, and connection,” she added.
Sandeepa Dhar
The popular actor took us into a profound chapter of her life, revealing, “The first time I visited our family home in Kashmir remains etched in my heart as the most profound moment I’ve shared with my mother. For years, this place existed only in stories passed down through generations and in a single photo album—the only one my family managed to salvage when they were forced to flee their homeland. Growing up, that album became my window into a world I’d never known. Each photograph held whispers of my parents’ dreams, the house they built with every penny they’d saved, every piece of gold they owned, and all their hopes for the future.”
“Last year, when I finally stood before that house with my mother, something indescribable passed between us. The weight of decades of longing and loss hung in the air as she witnessed me seeing our ancestral home through my own eyes for the first time. Her stories, which had painted my childhood imagination, suddenly had foundations, walls, and windows I could touch. Concluding it, Dhar said, “It was both heartbreaking and healing, a moment where past and present converged. The inheritance of remembrance passed from her heart to mine, not just as stories anymore, but as something we had witnessed together.”
Aakanksha Sharma
The actress too shared a heartwarming note about her mother being a constant source of motivation and added, “My mom’s number is saved as my inspiration on my phone since many years and she’s inspired me in every way possible. One thing I want to take away from her is her attitude of never wanting to give up. Like come what may, she’s always going to stand and fight and never give up on her dreams. My fondest memories with my mom are her taking me for like fancy dress competitions and dance competitions and acting and performance oriented competitions and you know just like dressing me up and literally playing Barbie with me.”
