An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter Scale jolted Tibet at 2:41 am (IST) on Sunday, according to the National Center for Seismology. Tremors were reportedly felt across the country, though no immediate reports of damage or injuries have surfaced. Authorities are monitoring the situation.
According to National Center for Seismology’s X handle, the epicentre was located at latitude 29.02N and longitude 87.48E, at a depth of 10 kilometres.
