Students and parents can check out teh full list here as per the information available now:
Jammu and Kashmir: In Jammu and Kashmir, the government on Thursday announced the closure of all schools, colleges, and universities across the Union Territory till Saturday.
Ladakh: Similarly, the Leh district administration in Ladakh said all schools would remain shut for the same period.
Rajasthan: In Rajasthan, schools in the districts of Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, and Barmer have been closed. Colleges in Jodhpur have also been ordered to shut. A night-time blackout was put in place in these border districts from midnight to 4 am amid concerns over possible air strikes.
Punjab: The Punjab government has ordered the closure of all educational institutions across the state for the next three days. In the Tricity region – comprising Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula – officials announced that schools would remain closed on Friday and Saturday. Punjab University in Chandigarh has postponed exams scheduled for May 9, 10, and 12. The university said new dates will be announced later.
Haryana: In Haryana, authorities in Panchkula have also declared the closure of all educational institutions on Friday and Saturday.
The measures come in the wake of Operation Sindoor, a precision military strike carried out by Indian forces on Wednesday against terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
The action has led to heightened security across border regions.
With increased troop movement and air surveillance, state governments are taking steps to ensure public safety, especially in areas close to the international border.
Officials said the closures are precautionary and aim to minimise risk to students and staff.
