Kate Middleton married feminine details with suited tailoring for her attire at a concert celebrating the 80th anniversary of VE Day on Thursday in London. The Princess of Wales joined members of the British royal family for the occasion, including her husband, Prince William.
Middleton wore a tailored bouclé and chiffon midi dress in cream courtesy of Self-Portrait. The outfit included a blazer bodice with long sleeves and sharp, silk lapels with sinuous and angular design elements. The dress’ flowing skirt included pleating and lace detailing at the hemline.

Self-Portrait is a London-based brand worn previously by British royal family members, including Princess Beatrice. The royal wore a black and white polka dot dress by the brand to Wimbledon in July 2021.
To accessorize, Middleton wore 1980s vintage Renaissance revival earrings from vintage jeweler Susan Caplan. Middleton coordinated the earrings with a 1980s vintage five-strand faux pearl necklace from the jeweler as well.

The Princess of Wales also wore a pair of Gianvito Rossi pumps in bisque suede and completed the ensemble by carrying the classic square mini flap bag by Chanel. A final touch was added to Middleton’s look with a black bow pulling her hair back.

Thursday’s concert was the latest event members of the British royal family attended to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day — a day that marks the official conclusion of World War II in Europe. For the royal family’s appearance on Buckingham Palace’s iconic balcony on Monday, Middleton wore a bespoke coatdress crafted by British designer Emilia Wickstead.
Earlier in the day on Thursday, Middleton joined members of the British royal family for the Thanksgiving Service to commemorate VE Day at Westminster Abbey in London. Middleton rewore black and white polka dot dress courtesy of Alessandra Rich, which she previously wore in June 2023 for Garter Day Service.
