A shooting at a Walgreens located at Taylor Road and Williamson Boulevard in Port Orange, Florida, left several people injured on Wednesday evening. Police have not officially confirmed any fatalities.
The Port Orange Police Department stated that all victims and suspects have been accounted for and that the situation is no longer active.
“An active investigation is occurring in reference to a shooting in the area of Taylor Rd. and Williamson Blvd. All victims and suspects are accounted for. Officers are on scene, and the situation is no longer active. Please avoid the area and take alternative routes,” Port Orange Police Department wrote in a Facebook post.
Meanwhile, authorities have urged residents to avoid the area and use alternative routes as the investigation continues. Officers at the scene declined to comment, stating that updates will be provided later. The drugstore’s parking lot remained cordoned off, with bystanders and apparent Walgreens staff gathered near the entrance.
