Kate Middleton joined members of the House of Windsor for the Thanksgiving Service to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day on Thursday in London. The special commemorative service took place at Westminster Abbey, the site where Middleton and Prince William wed in April 2011.
For the special occasion, the Princess of Wales returned to her royal rewear staples. The British royal wore a flowing black and white polka dot dress courtesy of Alessandra Rich, featuring long sleeves with cinched cuffs and a high neckline.

The waist of the dress featured subtle fabric ruching that transitioned to a flowing skirt with a midi length. Middleton previously wore the dress in June 2023 for Garter Day Service. As for accessories, she opted for pieces with neutral tones and a coordinated black flower and feather teardrop hat fascinator by Juliette Botterill.
Middleton styled a pair of gold calfskin pumps courtesy of Ralph Lauren for her footwear and carried the Nano Montreal bag in deep toffee by DeMellier, a London-based British handbag company.

Middleton further accessorized her look with a particular jewelry piece previously owned by the late Princess Diana. The Princess of Wales wore the Collingwood Pearl Drop Earrings, featuring a diamond stud with an additional small, three-row cap of diamonds atop a white pearl in the shape of a tear drop.
The earrings were an integral part of Princess Diana’s royal vault. The pearl teardrop earrings were famously worn by the late royal in June 1994 when Diana attended the Vanity Fair party at the Serpentine Gallery in her iconic Christina Stamboulian-designed black “revenge dress.”
