John Summit will play his biggest solo headlining set to date this fall in Boulder, Colo.
The show will happen on October 18 and the city’s 50,000-capacity Folsom Field, the football stadium located on the University of Colorado Boulder campus. The show is being presented by AEG Presents Rocky Mountains in partnership with CU Boulder, with general tickets going on sale May 15 after a May 14 presale.
This stadium show unlocks a new level of accomplishment for the apparently indefatigable Summit, who’s previously played solo headlining sets at large-scale venues including New York’s Madison Square Garden and Los Angeles’ BMO Stadium and Kia Forum.
“I’m hustling harder than I’ve ever hustled before,” the producer told Billboard in a March cover story. “The shows are only getting bigger and not just bigger, but better. The team is growing. My record label is growing. I’m working on a second album already, whereas I think most dance artists, especially house artists, don’t even do albums. Every year is crazier and crazier. It would be stupid to slow down when it’s snowballing.”
The Illinois-born producer also has a number of dates coming this summer and fall, including headlining slots at SoCal’s Lightning in a Bottle, Detroit’s Movement festival, along with festivals including Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, ARC Music Festival, Breakaway, Tomorrowland and EDC Las Vegas next week. Summit is also launching his first ever Ibiza residency at Hï, in addition to an ongoing Las Vegas residency at LIV.
“This is one of the most competitive industries in the world,” Summit also said in March. “I can’t let off the gas because the second I do, someone else is going to steam ahead. I’m going to try my best and try to be the best. Otherwise, what’s the point?”
