It took Thom Browne’s team a cool 7,700 hours to put together Whoopi Goldberg’s perfectly tailored, black-and-white, femme-meets-masc Met Gala outfit, and it was clearly time well spent, given how epic Goldberg looked in her floor-length dress, overcoat, patent leather boots, and black top hat.

Okay, not everyone, but it can’t be argued that pantless dressing made its triumphant return at the 2025 Met Gala, with everyone from Sabrina Carpenter to Lisa to Hailey Bieber freeing the leg on the blue carpet. Hey, if you’ve got ’em, flaunt ’em!
