Given its status as fashion’s biggest night of the year, there’s often a lot of pressure on stars to deliver on the Met Gala red carpet. But the after-parties offer a space to let loose a little, serving up some memorable looks over the years, from Kendall Jenner’s angelic vintage Alexander McQueen for Givenchy dress from spring 1997 to Bella Hadid’s barely-there lingerie-inspired ensemble by Dilara Fındıkoğlu.
In fact, this year, Kim Kardashian turned to Fındıkoğlu again for the Met Gala after-parties. The Skims founder wore a custom black leather dress featuring a sheer corset and lace-up detailing, offering a more sultry take on the night’s “Tailored for You” theme, in comparison to the off-the-shoulder Chrome Hearts number that she wore on the red carpet.
The Turkish-born, London-based designer has become an increasingly popular choice among A-listers, as seen during awards season this year. Charli xcx wore a sheer black number from Fındıkoğlu’s fall 2025 collection at the Brit Awards, while Rosalía and Julia Fox both wore the designer’s naked dresses at the Vanity Fair Oscars party.
Given that Fındıkoğlu holds an annual Halloween ball that she’s previously described as “my own Met Gala”, it’s perhaps no surprise that her creations are such a popular choice on the first Monday of May, too—and a perfect one for Ms Kim Kardashian.
