On Tuesday, Shah Rukh Khan demonstrated why he’s known as ‘King Khan’ with a dashing appearance at the MET Gala 2025. On Tuesday evening, Kajol posted a fashionable picture on Instagram, where she wore an all-black outfit that mirrored Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic MET Gala look. With silver rings and accessories, her ensemble echoed SRK’s signature style, creating a striking visual link between the two Bollywood stars.
As she shared a series of pictures, Kajol also posted a photo of Shah Rukh Khan from his Met Gala debut, captioning it with, “Hmmmmmmmm, spot the difference @iamsrk #allaboutthebling #greatminds.”
Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol share a close friendship and have collaborated on several iconic films, including Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Karan Arjun, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, My Name Is Khan, and Dilwale, among others.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan sported a unique all-black ensemble created by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Staying true to the event’s theme, he wore a long coat crafted from premium Tasmanian wool. Beneath it, he paired a black crepe de chine silk shirt with tailored superfine wool trousers. His bespoke look was finished with a pleated satin kamarbandh and multiple necklaces, including a large diamond-studded letter ‘K’, symbolizing King Khan.
In an interview with TIME about his Met Gala 2025 debut, Shah Rukh Khan shared, “It’s important to represent my countrymen and people. India is taking a stand in a lot of things and it’s important to have our presence felt.” He also praised this year’s MET Gala theme, ‘Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.’ He explained, “I liked what it stood for—the concept of revolution and resolution, not through anger or fighting, but by being exuberant and artistic. Dressing up in a way that made a statement.”
