Elli AvrRam took to the stage at the opening ceremony of WAVE Summit India 2025 with a classical dance performance that paid tribute to some of Bollywood’s most iconic songs. Held at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai, the event witnessed AvrRam showcase a lesser-seen facet of her artistic repertoire — traditional Indian dance.

The actress brought an expressive and technically sound performance, set to a medley of Bollywood classics such as ‘Dola Re’ from Devdas, ‘Dholida’ from Gangubai Kathiawadi, and ‘Pinga’ from Bajirao Mastani. The choreography, by Kruti Mahesh, drew heavily from classical influences and allowed AvrRam to display the beauty of Indian classical forms and their intricate nuances.
Sharing her experience on social media, Elli wrote, “It was an honor to perform for the grand opening of Waves India 2025 at @nmacc.india. Words aren’t enough to express the blissful feeling I get from performing on stage like this. Dancing to the iconic song Dola Re from the Bollywood movie that stole my heart back home in Sweden — Devdas — ahhhh the feeling is… Gratitude all the way.”
She also expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards each of the team member which not only included the choreographer and other key collaborators, including designer Ken Ferns for her outfit and veteran actor Anupam Kher for curating the act. Shantanu, who also joined Elli on stage, sparked excitement among audiences as their brief but impactful on-stage collaboration that left a mark. “@shantanu.maheshwari too good ‘bollywood moment’ while running off the stage”, Elli added reflecting the spontaneity and excitement of the act.
While Elli AvrRam is best known for her roles in films and reality television, this performance marked another step in her evolving journey as a performer willing to take on challenging and culturally rich artistic expressions.
