Tata Motors has pulled the curtains off the interior of the Tata Altroz facelift, offering a glimpse into the revamped cabin of the premium hatchback ahead of its official launch on May 22, 2025. The Altroz, since its introduction in 2020, is receiving its first major update, with a focus on elevating both its interior and exterior.
A teaser video released by the company has showcased a redesigned interior and will compete against the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20, and Toyota Glanza.
The cabin of the Altroz facelift has undergone a significant transformation, adopting a more sophisticated and tech-forward design. At the heart of the dashboard is a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for seamless smartphone integration. Complementing this is a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. The Altroz now features the new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo. There is gloss black treatment on the dash.
The Altroz facelift introduces a host of advanced features to elevate comfort and convenience. A 360-degree camera and a voice-assisted sunroof are among the highlights. The Altroz facelift is also expected to get ventilated front seats alongside an 8-speaker sound system for an immersive audio experience. Practical additions include a wireless phone charger, automatic climate control with rear vents, and touch-based AC controls.
While the interior is refreshed, Tata has also hinted at exterior updates that complement the cabin’s overhaul. The facelifted Altroz sports a sharper front fascia with twin-pod LED headlamps, LED DRLs, and a redesigned 3D grille. At the rear, sleek LED tail lamps with a T-shaped motif are connected by a full-width LED light bar, giving the car a contemporary appearance. Segment-first flush-fitting door handles, new alloy wheels with an EV-inspired design, and a new rear bumper further enhance the car’s visual appeal.
Under the hood, the Altroz facelift is likely to carry forward its existing powertrain options, maintaining its versatility. These include a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 88bhp, a 1.2-litre CNG variant delivering 73.5bhp, a 1.5-liter diesel with 90bhp, and a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol churning out 120bhp, which will be there in the Altroz Racer.
Expect the Altroz facelift to be priced slightly higher than the outgoing model, which is in the range of Rs 6.65 lakh to Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom).
