TVF (The Viral Fever) has built a reputation for creating relatable shows. Over the years, it has become a well-known production house with a strong understanding of its audience. At WAVES 2025, its show Panchayat was highlighted as a notable example of grassroots storytelling. Producer Ektaa R Kapoor, who was also present at the event, mentioned Panchayat while discussing the global potential of rural content.

At WAVES 2025, When Ektaa R Kapoor was seen speaking about TVF and how they are able to make stories and characters that everyone has been able to resonate with and be nostalgic with. She said, “When you see a story, you resonate with the story. A lot of us watching Panchayat have not really seen villages and some of us haven’t even lived in a village. It’s the characterization, it’s the way stories are told, it’s the way you connect to the fact that you have landed up in the city or a smaller town which has simplicity attached to it. It’s like going back to older times. It gives you a touch of nostalgia. All these are again emotional connect to the story of a small town or village. At the end of the day, it really doesn’t matter and therefore it can travel.”
Ektaa R Kapoor is a well-established producer in the Indian entertainment industry. Often referred to as the “Content Czarina,” she has had a strong presence across television, film, and digital platforms. Her television work includes popular shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, and Kasautii Zindagii Kay. In cinema, she has backed notable films such as Shootout at Lokhandwala, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, The Dirty Picture, Udta Punjab, and Dream Girl. On OTT, she’s produced shows like Lock Upp, known for pushing boundaries. In 2023, she received the International Emmy Directorate Award at the 51st International Emmy Awards.
TVF’s Panchayat has resonated with a wide range of Indian viewers and has steadily grown in popularity. Season 2 was recognized with the Best Web Series OTT Award at the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), a notable achievement given the limited recognition web series have received at national-level events. This marked the first time IFFI presented an award in this category, reflecting the growing significance of OTT content in India. Over time, Panchayat has become one of the more prominent web series in the country, with each season drawing increased audience appreciation.
TVF has steadily grown into one of India’s leading content creators. In 2024, it delivered a strong lineup of shows including Sapne Vs Everyone, Very Parivarik, Panchayat Season 3, Kota Factory Season 3, Gullak Season 4, and Arranged Couple. These series have been well-received and reflect TVF’s continued ability to connect with a broad audience across the country.
