On Monday, Kesari – Chapter 2 had brought in Rs. 2.65 crores followed by Rs. 2.72 crores on Tuesday and that gave a good support to the overall collections that the film has been garnering since release. This also meant that Wednesday would be steady because even without any BOGO or other offers, the film was bound to benefit from the fact that today is a partial holiday of Labour Day. As a result, Wednesday evening and night shows were better.
This means as much as Rs. 2.25 crores came in again and the run so far is better than expected collections because otherwise Rs. 2 crores seemed to be coming on a daily basis. Today too at least Rs. 2 crores more will come in. Even though Raid 2 has seen a big release for itself and there is The Bhootnii coming in as well on select screens, Kesari – Chapter 2 will stay on to be the second-best choice at least, what with the holiday factor further aiding in even at curtailed screens and shows.
The Karan Singh Tyagi directed film has now accumulated Rs. 73.55 crores and crossing Rs. 75 crores in two weeks will be a cakewalk for it. Rs. 95 crores is now a given for the film but if it can show some solid push again on Saturday then there is a good possibility of even Rs. 100 crores mark being hit. Footfalls that are evidenced from today till Sunday would be the key deciding factor for this milestone to be accomplished.
