Dutch and Duchess of Sussex seems to be celebrating the Valentine seperately as Meghan Markle arrived at Santa Barbara Airport via private jet on Tuesday evening, departing from the Invictus games in Canada while leaving Prince Harry behind.
After spending five days in Vancouver and Whistler with Harry during the seventh Invictus Games, Meghan returned to Montecito to reunite with their children. Her early departure was pre-arranged, mirroring her attendance duration at the 2023 event in Germany, Daily Mail reported.
The prince took time to relax following his wife’s departure, before continuing with the remaining events independently. The couple spent Valentine’s Day separately, with Meghan returning to their £12million Montecito residence to be with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Meghan shared an Instagram post displaying Canadian souvenirs for their children, including personalised items. She wrote: “A taste of Canada and The Invictus Games for our little ones! Cheering you [Harry] on from home!”
Harry continues his stay in Canada until Sunday’s closing ceremony of the tournament for injured service personnel and veterans. Sources confirmed this arrangement was intentional, allowing Meghan to return to their children.
During the opening ceremony, Harry expressed appreciation for Meghan’s support, noting her presence as crucial to the experience. He shared his enthusiasm for the 2027 games in Birmingham, reflecting on the event’s decade-long journey and growing significance.
The prince maintained an active schedule, participating in winter sports activities and engaging with competitors. He dined with Michael Buble and wife Luisana at Il Caminetto, continuing his commitment to the Games which he established in 2014 as a platform for injured service personnel and veterans.
