A viral clip of Joe Rogan praising Elon Musk in a podcast episode made waves online, and even Musk himself on Tuesday was in agreement. In the now-widely shared video, Rogan describes Musk as a “very unique human being”, citing his ability to run multiple companies while working with the US government.
“If we didn’t live in the time of Elon Musk and you were studying him in history, you’d be like, ‘Jesus Christ, what was that guy like?’” Rogan says in the clip. “That guy must have been insane. This guy’s running five different companies simultaneously, trying to develop a Department of Government Efficiency at the same time.”
The comments came from the January 28 podcast episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, but as the video posted by entrpreneur Mario Nawfal went viral, Musk himself chimed in with a lighthearted response. “I need to meet this Elon guy. He sounds awesome,” he joked on social media platform X.

Musk and Rogan have shared a long-running rapport, with the Tesla and SpaceX CEO making multiple appearances on Rogan’s podcast.
Meanwhile, X owner Musk, ealrier in the day, changed his name on the platform to Harry Bolz, marking the second time he has adopted this alias. The billionaire had briefly used the same handle in April 2023. His latest stunt comes just hours after reports emerged that a Musk-led consortium of investors has placed a bid to take control of OpenAI.
