Author and Conservative commentator Ann Coulter, who once said she would not vote for Vivek Ramaswamy only because he is of Indian origin, has commented on the ongoing H-1B row and said that H1B workers can’t leave a company, unlike American workers. And that’s what tech like Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, Sriram Krishnan want — she implied.
“American workers can leave a company. Imported H1B workers can’t, Tech wants indentured servants, not ‘high-skilled’ workers,” Ann Coulter said endorsing what right-wing influencer Laura Loomer has been saying.
A major row over American culture was triggered after Vivek Ramaswamy condemned some aspects of the American culture as he explained why tech companies rely more on outside workers and not native Americans. In doing this, Ramaswamy criticized some of America’s favorite shows and prom culture.
Ann Coulter reported many posts critiquing Ramaswamy’s explanation that the Asian culture is mostly of mass conformity beating the individuality out of the kids through tore memorization while the Western culture is tolerant for eccentricity.
Coulter liked another post which pointed out that the Asian practise of pushing the children to an extreme like in South Korea and China has led to miserable kids and collapsing fertility.
Division in MAGA over H-1B
Donald Trump’s team is now clearly divided between the MAGA activists and the tech bros. And the single flashpoint is H-1B. The tech bros which include Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, Sriram Krishnan are in favor of removing the cap on H-1B visas which will allow US companies to hire more foreigners.
The MAGA activists are those who are in favor of the America First policy. They believe Donald Trump wants to end H-1B completely so that native American workers get jobs.
Vice president-elect JD Vance, married to Usha Vance of Indian origin, has not yet spoken on the issue.
Why Ann Coulter said she would never vote for Vivek Ramaswamy
Vivek Ramaswamy was a presidential hopeful at the beginning of this year before he left his campaign and endorsed Donald Trump. Ann Coulter told Vivek Ramaswamy she would never vote for him because he’s an Indian, though she agreed with him on a lot of issues. Vivek said he respected Ann Coulter’s guts to speak her mind.
