The music mogul, who mentored Payne and One Direction on The X Factor, was seen embracing the grieving parents during the private ceremony. Cowell, accompanied by his fiancée Lauren Silverman, appeared visibly emotional, while Silverman looked somber as she stood by his side. Liam Payne was finally laid to rest more than a month after his untimely passing. The private service was held at St. Mary’s Church in Amersham, England, with close family and friends in attendance. Payne’s One Direction bandmates, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson, reunited to honor their friend. Cheryl Cole, Payne’s ex and mother of his son Bear, also attended alongside her Girls Aloud bandmates.
