Earlier, all-rounder Amelia Kerr struck a crucial 43 from 38 balls to lift New Zealand to an imposing 158-5 from their 20 overs on Sunday. Batting at three, as well as being the leader wicket-taker at the tournament, Kerr came to the crease in the second over and stayed until the 19th when she picked out the reliable hands of Tazmin Brits on the midwicket boundary.
