Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Friday urged his female supporters to get their ‘fat’ husbands off the couch to vote for him, inviting criticism from many. He made this comment during a rally in Michigan’s Detroit.

In the video, Trump is seen addressing the women in the crowd, telling them to get their husbands, whom he referred to as ‘fat pigs,’ off their couches to vote. He also urged them to slap their husbands to motivate them.
“Jill, get your fat husband off the couch. Get that fat pig off the couch. Get that guy the hell up. Slap him around, Jill, get him up,” Trump said.

Trump’s ‘fat pigs’ remarks have drawn sharp criticism across social media. One X user described him as ‘demeaning and awful,’ while another questioned whether Trump was drunk, calling him ‘a shithole-brain.’ Another commenter suggested Trump’s ‘mind has gone,’ while some speculated that his ‘battery is dying.’

According to The Associated Press, Trump currently lags behind in national support among women. During a previous campaign event, Trump had urged women to vote for him over vice president Kamala Harris, claiming it would ensure their safety.
Early voting begins in Detroit this weekend and will expand across Michigan on October 26. The mandatory early voting period runs from October 26 to November 3.
