US vice president Kamala Harris joined Alex Cooper‘s podcast ‘Call Her Daddy’ to discuss reproductive rights in the US.
Harris sat on Tuesday and recorded the popular podcast, and as per her campaign, the episode is set to air next week, as reported by The Hill.
Alex Cooper’s podcast ‘Call Her Daddy’ is popular among young female listeners making it the most appropriate platform for the Democratic nominee to connect with her young listeners/voters.
According to Harris’ campaign, her appearance on the show highlights the importance of connecting with younger audiences.
The vice president has appeared on podcasts and radio shows but faced criticism for limited media interviews and appearances. Since becoming the Democratic nominee for US presidential elections, she has been interviewed by MSNBC, and CNN, and appeared on a National Association of Black Journalists panel.
The campaign also defined Cooper’s show as a cultural phenomenon, saying that it has significant social media reach with millions of listeners, making it a prime forum to discuss abortion access.
Cooper became a household name after she joined NBC for the network’s Olympics coverage this summer in Paris.
