Pro-Palestinian protesters clashed with law enforcement after storming an afterparty following Vice President Kamala Harris‘ rally in New York City. The rally, attended by New York City Mayor Eric Adams, took place in Harlem.

In video footage, demonstrators are seen lining the street after Harris’ rally. “You set Palestine on fire,” one protester shouted, while others unleashed smoke bombs, creating chaos.”How dare you,” another yelled amid the disorder.
Harris in Michigan confronted protesters opposing Israel’s actions, stating, “I’m here because I believe in democracy and everybody’s voice matters, but I am speaking now.” Despite continued interruptions, she remained resolute, resulting in a tense confrontation between her supporters and the protesters before the demonstrators were led away.
“You know what, if you want Donald Trump to win, then say that. Otherwise, I’m speaking,” Harris said, eliciting static cheers from the audience.

The Biden administration’s support of Israel in its ongoing conflict with Hamas in the Gaza Strip has been a contentious issue for some, sparking protests like these.
Harris, alongside her running mate, Minnesota governor Tim Walz, visited Wisconsin and Michigan to gain support from younger, diverse, labor-friendly voters. She emphasised their campaign’s optimistic vision, contrasting it with former President Donald Trump, who she criticized for his confrontational politics.
“Someone who suggests we should terminate the Constitution of the United States should never again have the chance to sit behind the seal of the United States,” Harris declared at the day’s first rally in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
