Videos circulating online showed the US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer being called a ‘scumbag‘ by an individual at the Dominican Day Parade in New York City on Sunday.
The unidentified man said: “Hey, Chuck. You know Dominicans actually hate your guts, because you’re a scumbag. You know that right?”
The critic went on to blame Schumer for the state of New York, calling him a “loser” twice.He said; “You ruined New York. You’re a loser. You’re a loser buddy.”
In a separate incident, the Dominican Day Parade in Manhattan was suddenly halted by authorities due to a chaotic and uncontrollable crowd that overwhelmed the Midtown route.
Police officials said that during the disturbance, a teenager slashed a 65-year-old man across the face, The New York Post reported.
The parade, which has been a tradition for 42 years, typically attracts around 500,000 spectators and includes 113 participating organizations, such as community groups, carnival bands, and government officials.
