Meghan McCain, a former co-host of “The View,” strongly criticized JD Vance, the Republican vice presidential nominee, for his recent remarks about women without children. In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the 39-year-old conservative commentator expressed her disapproval of Vance’s statement, in which he referred to childless women as “childless cat ladies.”
McCain also described Vance’s comments as “innately unchristian,” implying that they go against the principles of compassion and understanding that are central to the Christian faith. She stressed that his words have caused genuine pain and do not reflect the values of the conservative movement, stating, “This is not who we are.”
“I have been trying to warn every conservative man I know – these JD comments are activating women across all sides, including my most conservative Trump supporting friends. These comments have caused real pain and are just innately unchristian. This is not who we are,” McCain said in a statement on X.

As JD Vance was picked by Donald Trump to be his VP candidate, he got surrounded in a major controversy around saying that he feels people without child have less stake in the future and so they should not have the same voting rights as the people with children etc. He called Kamala Harris, AOC and Pete Buttigieg ‘childless cat ladies’ who are running the country. “Look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, AOC [Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez], the entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children. How does it make any sense we’ve turned our country over to people who don’t really have a direct stake in it?” JD Vance said in the 2021 controversial video.
In another old controversial video, Vance talked about giving control to the parents who their children vote for. “Let’s give votes to all children in this country. But let’s give control over those votes to the parents of those children. (Claps from audience),” said Vance.
Vance had drawn major flak for his comments from many including Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Pete Buttigieg and Kerstin Emhoff who was married and had two children with now Harris’ husband Douglas Emhoff.
