Elon Musk on Monday criticised New York Times opinion page that asked voters to “reject” Donald Trump in the upcoming Presidential elections.
The Tesla CEO called NYT “callous and despicable” for propagating anti-Trump views a day after the former US President got injured in a foiled assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania.
“The New York Times just published this about Trump today.They are truly callous and despicable human beings. Not a shred of empathy,” he said in a post on X with a pictures of the NYT opinions page.

“He failed the tests of leadership and betrayed America. Voters must reject him in November,” the NYT opinions page said.
Musk in earlier posts had raised serious concerns about the security issues calling for “the head of the Secret Service and the leader of this security detail” to resign.
Responding to a user who questioned “How was a sniper with a full rifle kit allowed to bear crawl onto the closest roof to a presidential nominee”, Musk said, “Extreme incompetence or it was deliberate. Either way, the SS leadership must resign.”
The shooting left the suspect and an attendee dead.
