NEW DELHI: Three civilians lost their lives in a Russian attack on the frontline village of Guliaipole in Ukraine’s southeastern Zaporizhzhia region on Sunday morning, according to the region’s local governor.
Ivan Fedorov conveyed the news on the Telegram messaging app, saying, “Two men and a woman died under the rubble of their own house, which was hit by a Russian shell.” He also mentioned that one more individual sustained injuries in the attack.
Fedorov disclosed that the Russians targeted the village utilizing a Grad self-propelled multiple rocket launcher.
The Zaporizhzhia region, situated on the frontline, faces relentless bombardment from Russia, comprising rockets, drones and cannons.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian General Staff revealed that overnight, Ukraine’s forces destroyed all 17 attack drones launched by Russia.
“At night the Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine once again, using 17 attack drones. The Ukrainian air defence forces destroyed all of them” the Ukrainian General Staff announced on Facebook.
