NEW DELHI: A crash at a highway intersection in western Wisconsin has resulted in the death of nine people. According to reports from KSTP, the Clark County sheriff’s office confirmed the fatalities in the accident.
The collision, which occurred on Friday, involved a semitrailer and a van. Preliminary investigations suggest that the semitrailer, traveling along State Highway 95, collided with a van on County Highway J. The van, entering the intersection, was struck by the semitrailer, as stated by the sheriff’s department in an earlier release.
Governor Tony Evers expressed condolences, stating, “Our hearts and prayers go out to the families and loved ones of all those involved, as well as the first responders who worked quickly to provide support at the scene.”
The crash has resulted in the closure of Highway 95, with overhead footage revealing both vehicles overturned at the scene.
