NEW DELHI: Rupert Murdoch, 92, has announced his upcoming wedding with his girlfriend, Elena Zhukova. According to The New York Times, the wedding is set to take place in June. This will be Murdoch’s fifth marriage.
Last year, Murdoch had announced his engagement to Ann Lesley Smith, a dental hygienist turned conservative radio host. However, the wedding was called off less than a month later.Elena Zhukova, a retired molecular biologist who immigrated to the United States from Russia, is 67 years old, making her 25 years younger than Murdoch.
Elena’s daughter, Dasha Zhukova, is an arts patron and entrepreneur who was previously married to Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich. The wedding ceremony is said to be taking place at Murdoch’s California vineyard and estate, Moraga.
Murdoch’s most recent marriage was to model Jerry Hall, the former partner of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger.
