US calls for end to Haiti violence, White House says – Times of India

WASHINGTON: The United States has urged all actors in Haiti to stop violence and put the people of Haiti first, the White House said on Monday.
The White House is monitoring the situation in Haiti with great concern, White House spokesperson John Kirby said. Violence escalated over the weekend, which saw 15,000 more people flee the fighting and armed men break thousands of inmates from Haiti’s largest prison.
