Myanmar junta extends state of emergency on eve of coup anniversary: Military-run media – Times of India

Myanmar’s ruling junta on Wednesday extended for six months a state of emergency in the conflict-torn country, military-run media reported.
The military has repeatedly extended emergency rule since taking power in a coup three years ago.
The reports said the country’s National Defence and Security Council addressed the “current situation” in Myanmar and all members showed support for extending the state of emergency.
