If Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce ever walk down the aisle, Andy Reid has plenty of material he could use for a speech at the reception.

While guesting on the Thursday (Aug. 7) episode of 96.5 The Fan with Fescoe and Dusty, the Kansas City Chiefs coach laughed when asked which stories he would share if he were tapped to take the mic at his star tight end’s potential future wedding to the 14-time Grammy winner. “Ooh,” he replied. “Well there are a few I can’t tell.”

“No, there are a lot of great stories,” he continued of Kelce. “He’s done so many good things, all the things he’s done off the field that people don’t know about, just helping people out. He’s got a big heart that way and I appreciate that the most.”

Though Swift and the football player have been dogged by engagement rumors since nearly the start of their romance in 2023, they have not yet made plans to tie the knot, as far as the public knows. They have, however, been spending a lot of time together this past offseason, as shown in a carousel of adorable photos recently shared by Travis that also included both stars’ brothers, Austin Swift and Jason Kelce.

The athlete is now training with his teammates ahead of the 2025-26 season, which will kick off Sept. 4. The Chiefs will play their first game of the season the following day, facing off against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Now that her Eras Tour is over — wrapping in December with more than $2 billion in grosses — Swift is expected to be present at many of Kansas City’s games this year and next. Her appearances at Arrowhead Stadium throughout the last two seasons sparked a noticeable uptick in young women tuning into the NFL, something Reid touched on during his radio interview.

“I think it’s great,” the coach said. “Obviously, women and girls are looking at the game a little bit more. Look at flag football, we’re talking about Olympic sports, college sports … Girls are having the opportunity to play the game. They’re loving it … [Swift] had a big part of that.”
