BTS member, J-Hope’s sister, Jung Ji-woo, slams trolls
BTS member, J-Hope’s sister, Jung Ji-woo has taken a strong stand against the trolls, calling them out for spreading baseless rumours about her pregnancy and questioning her choices, calling the situation ‘out of hand.’ In a pointed post on Instagram, Jung Ji-woo shared a series of offensive comments questioning whether she was pregnant or had lost the baby. Some comments even asked her why there was no bump, even though she was wearing tight clothes.
The comments were extremely intrusive, insensitive and unwanted, and Jung Ji-woo made sure that her message was loud and clear, leaving no room for misinterpretation. Shocked by the unsolicited speculation, she responded by stating how she was about to respond to these texts, but they kept disappearing. She acknowledged that they were trying for a baby. However, there was nothing to share yet. She further expressed her dismay with how people have crossed all sorts of boundaries and stated how the questions were not only inappropriate but also insensitive. She was quoted as saying:
“Was about to reply, but the comment disappeared. We’re trying for a baby, but there’s nothing to share yet. Still, I’m honestly shocked that someone I don’t even know could ask such a personal and inappropriate question about our private life. Even my close friends wouldn’t go there.”
In the same post, Jung Ji-woo expressed her frustration with the baseless rumours swirling around her. She slammed the trolls, asking when she had ever made any claims that she was pregnant. She added that she never made any comments about her pregnancy, yet people have been making up stories about the same, going as far as stating that she must have had a miscarriage. She was quoted as saying:
“When did I ever say ‘I’m pregnant?’ I’ve said nothing, but some people here are making up stories like they’re confirmed facts. Now it’s gone from ‘she’s pregnant’ to ‘she had a miscarriage’ to ‘she’s out drinking?’ Seriously? I have been ignoring it because it’s so far from the truth, but it is getting out of hand. Show some respect, please.”
