Julia Fox traded in her usual theatrics for something more sculptural but still sly at Cara Delevingne’s birthday party on Monday night, stepping out in Saint Laurent’s Romy mules at Bar Marmont in Los Angeles.
The black lambskin stilettos feature a pointed almond peep toe and sharply angled heel, balanced by a wide arch band that hugs the top of the foot. Though clean in design, the silhouette veers architectural — a deliberate choice within Fox’s summer rotation of extreme footwear. The Romy mule’s slim profile and subtle polish made it a precise foil to her louder choices of late, including sculptural balloon heels and sharply curved platforms worn throughout July.

She styled the stilettos with black spandex bike shorts and an oversize Adidas T-shirt, reworked in a vintage-style “Willy” motif across the chest in a nod to retro soccer kits. With its drop-shoulder and cuffed sleeve, the T-shirt leaned into the oversize, athletic shapes that have defined her recent looks. Fox finished the outfit with rectangular sunglasses and a two-tone shoulder bag in cream and black leather, maintaining a graphic palette from head to toe.

The Saint Laurent mules also place Fox in the middle of a broader celebrity move toward minimalist stiletto slip-ons. In July, Emily Ratajkowski wore Paris Texas’ Lidia mule multiple times across New York, styling it for late-night TV and streetwear alike. Becky G stepped out in a similar silhouette in June — pointed toe, hourglass strap, slick black finish — for a Broadway night out in Manhattan.

For Fox, though, this outing marks a subtle deviation. Just 24 hours earlier, she stepped out in high-drama upturned white heels and lace capris, topped off with a mesh veil and tulle corsage. The Romy mules, by contrast, suggest restraint — though not without intention.
Fox arrived alongside a guest list that included Kaia Gerber, Chelsea Handler, Margot Robbie, Jacob Elordi and Paris Hilton, all celebrating Delevingne’s birthday at the West Hollywood landmark. The model and actress turns 33 on Aug. 12.
