Anushka Shetty’s long-delayed action-drama ‘Ghaati’ is finally set to hit theatres on September 5, with the trailer unveiled on August 6. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, the newly released trailer sets the tone for a gritty, emotionally charged saga unfolding in the perilous mountain ranges of the Ghats.

The makers shared the trailer on social media with a new poster. “The GHAATS have a voice. It roars. It rebels. It reverbs. #GHAATI – A tale carved in blood, sweat, and stone. #GhaatiTrailer out now!(sic),” read the caption.

The makers further described the film as a mountain echo, a wild breeze, and a story carved from stone and soil, emphasising the film’s layered emotional and visual depth.

In the trailer, Anushka Shetty is seen portraying a fierce and bold character who transforms from a loving companion to a powerful avenger. Starring alongside Vikram Prabhu, whose screen presence adds intensity to the narrative, she leads a story about a community once enslaved by colonial powers and now entangled in the murky world of drug trafficking.

Cinematographer Manojh Reddy Katasani captures the hauntingly beautiful yet brutal landscapes with striking visuals, while Nagavelli Vidya Sagar’s music heightens the film’s emotional stakes. Art direction by Thota Tharrani and editing by Chanakya Reddy Toorupu and Venkat N Swamy complement the film’s gritty atmosphere.

Presented by UV Creations and produced by Rajeev Reddy and Sai Babu Jagarlamudi, ‘Ghaati’ is the second collaboration between Anushka Shetty and director Krish Jagarlamudi, following the success of their blockbuster film ‘Vedam’.
