Following his announcement of retirement from Test cricket after a 14-year illustrious career, Virat Kohli was seen departing from Mumbai alongside his wife, actress Anushka Sharma. The cricketer appeared in high spirits as he smiled for the cameras during their public appearance at the Mumbai airport on Monday afternoon.

As per reports, the couple headed to Bengaluru amid speculation that the Indian Premier League 2025 is set to resume. The tournament was paused last week due to rising India-Pakistan tensions, which halted the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals match in Dharamsala. With a ceasefire now in place, the BCCI is preparing to restart the league, though the official schedule is yet to be announced.
In the latest airport photos, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were seen smiling and posing for the cameras. Virat opted for a casual white T-shirt with beige trousers, while Anushka wore a vibrant multicoloured shirt with jeans.
On Monday, Virat Kohli announced his retirement from Test cricket, just over a month ahead of the England tour. The 36-year-old cricketer shared the news with fans via Instagram, days after fellow teammate Rohit Sharma also stepped away from the format.
Posting a photo of himself in a test jersey, holding a bat, Virat Kohli reflected on his journey as he announced his retirement. He wrote, “It’s been 14 years since I first wore the baggy blue in Test cricket. Honestly, I never imagined the journey this format would take me on. It’s tested me, shaped me, and taught me lessons I’ll carry for life. There’s something deeply personal about playing in whites… I’ve given it everything I had, and it’s given me back so much more than I could’ve hoped for. I’m walking away with a heart full of gratitude… #269, signing off.”
Kohli made his test debut in 2011 and represented India in 113 matches.
