NEW DELHI: Two people were killed and three others were injured after a blast at an oxygen cylinder plant in Punjab’s Mohali district on Wednesday, news agency PTI reported quoting officials. The incident took place at a unit in the industrial area in Phase-9 of Mohali.“A blast was reported today at an oxygen plant located in Industrial Area, Phase 9. Upon receiving information, medical teams, police, and district administration personnel promptly reached the site and initiated rescue operations,” Mohali district commissioner said in a post on X.“There are two casualties and three persons are severely injured,” an official was quoted as saying by PTI. The injured have been taken to the Civil Hospital in Mohali.
