I.Am.Gia announces its new collaboration with the Instagram account Not Thirst Traps. The collection features Y2K-inspired pieces from the cult-favorite, Australia-based brand and the viral social media account.

The I.Am.Gia x Not Thirst Traps collection emerges at the intersection of trendy fashion statements, Y2K style and online culture, with T-shirts embossed with irreverent, cheeky turns of phrase.

I.Am.Gia also holds a special connection to the famous Instagram meme account. Polina, the creator of the meme page, serves as I.Am.Gia’s lead copywriter and works closely with the brand’s founder, Alana Pallister, to shape the Instagram account’s female-focused content.

The collection features five bold T-shirts for the internet savvy, featuring phrases like “Need a BF that understands I’m single” and “Professional Thirst Trapper,” among others. The campaign for the collection is wholly Y2K-inspired, with paparazzi-style photos capturing the slim-fitting T-shirts.

The I.Am.Gia x Not Thirst Traps collaboration comes at a time when Y2K style peaked in popularity. Styles from the late ’90s and early 2000s, from platform flip-flops to low-rise jeans and more, have seen a resurgence among Gen Z, repurposing the Millennial nostalgia styles with a contemporary spin.

Designers have also tapped into the trend. Among them, Marc Jacobs recently released a campaign ad inspired by the 2004 satirical comedy “Mean Girls” to promote the American label’s Cristina bag, which made its debut in the arms of high-profile attendees like Julia Fox at the Marc Jacobs’ fall 2025 runway show.

The collection is available on I.Am.Gia’s official website. T-shirt sizes range from XXS to XL, retailing for $69.

I.Am.Gia was cofounded by sisters Alana Pallister and Stevie Cox in May 2017. Since the Australian label launched, I.Am.Gia’s clothing has been worn by Bella Hadid, Kaia Gerber, Ice Spice, Tyla, Emily Ratajkowski and more. In 2024, the brand capitalized on the “office sirens” trend with the Gia Office campaign starring model Elsa Hosk.
