Meghan Markle’s ex-staffers didn’t want to be on Duchess Difficult’s bad side.

Valentine Low, the royal correspondent for the Times from 2008 to 2023, recently explained why Markle’s former employees waited years to speak out about the alleged abuse they suffered working under her.

They “viewed her capacity for revenge as infinite,” the “Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown” author claimed on Kinsley Schofield’s “Unfiltered” podcast last week.

He alleged that the “very fragile” staff members “were very worried about what Meghan would do to them” before anonymously coming out with their experiences in his 2022 book.

“They’d left the employ of the Royal Family and they still were in a psychologically delicate state as a result of what happened to them at that time,” Low said.

He quipped that if Markle, 44, and husband Prince Harry, 40, “‘were difficult to work for then, they’re difficult to work for now.”

Markle’s rep, however, alleged to Page Six that Low “continues to desperately recycle false, offensive, and long-discredited allegations in an apparent bid to sell books and resuscitate relevance” as part of a “broader and deeply troubling agenda.”

Her spokesperson blasted the “harmful gossip,” adding, “The Duchess has faced years of unfounded attacks masked as journalism in a never-ending smear campaign. … Meghan remains undeterred by the noise and firmly focused on her family and work.”

Low published anonymous staffers’ claims in 2022.

The women claimed to have been “broken” by the “Suits” alum’s alleged screaming tirades.

Low pointed out in the July “Unfiltered” episode that those who covered the claims didn’t “get sued,” which he claimed means “there’s probably something in it.”

He mused, “All those … stories earlier suggesting she might be Duchess Difficult, actually maybe they’re true.”

He recalled Markle and Harry’s lawyers sending him a “very long letter” before the book’s publication, calling it a “very feisty” and “very strong” warning to “watch out.”

After the book came out, Low “didn’t hear a word.”

Markle became a member of the royal family when she married Harry in 2018, before they quit their roles and moved to the United States two years later.

The duo now lives in Montecito, Calif., with their two kids: Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4.
