The short screen time of Bhagyashri Borse in Kingdom left many fans surprised, especially after the pre-release buzz around her pairing with Vijay Deverakonda. However, the makers have now confirmed that the young actress will have a significantly larger role in Kingdom 2.
Bhagyashri Borse to play bigger role in Kingdom 2, confirms producer Naga Vamsi
In a recent press interaction during the film’s thank-you meet, producer Naga Vamsi addressed the growing conversation around Bhagyashri’s limited appearance. “I liked her and selected her as the heroine of this film. Her presence is more in the second half. From now, the war between hero and heroine starts. Then, the heroine becomes the lead. We just established her in this part. She will be in the second half,” he revealed.
The statement quickly gained traction among fans who had expressed similar sentiments across social media platforms. While the response wasn’t critical, many felt Bhagyashri brought a spark to the few scenes she featured in and hoped to see more of her.
Acknowledging the love and support, Bhagyashri took to social media to thank her fans. “Dear BB family, I know a lot of you wanted to see more of me in Kingdom and I truly feel your love. While the screen space may have been limited in Part 1, I gave it everything I had. Kingdom 2 is a surprise loading for you guys!” she wrote. She added that she’s grateful for the opportunity and is committed to growing with every role.
Having made her debut with Mister Bachchan, Bhagyashri is steadily gaining momentum in pan-Indian cinema. In addition to her role in the Kingdom franchise, she will soon be seen opposite Ram in a film directed by Mahesh Babu P., and alongside Dulquer Salmaan in Kaantha.
Kingdom, a historical action drama featuring Vijay Deverakonda in a never seen before avatar. While Bhagyashri’s character had a limited arc in the first installment, Kingdom 2 promises a deeper storyline that brings her to the forefront.
As the franchise moves into its next phase, fans can expect not just a continuation of the epic tale – but also Bhagyashri Borse stepping into a more impactful role.
