Tara Sutaria is known for her calm elegance and artistic poise, but in her latest appearance on The Ranveer Show, the actress dropped her guard to offer a rare glimpse into her inner world. Candid, reflective, and quietly powerful, Tara opened up about heartbreak, betrayal, and how she’s taught herself to deal with emotional pain—by sitting with it, learning from it, and ultimately letting it shape her rather than shatter her.

The conversation touched on everything from astrology and the idea of Scorpio women being “unforgiving,” to the deeper truth of how Tara actually navigates emotional hurt. “Yes, maybe I’m not easily able to forget certain things if they’re too painful. Maybe not,” she admitted. “But I would like to think I forgive. I’ve been giving this a lot of thought recently… I feel like I can’t forget, but I will forgive—because it’s the healthier way to do it.”
The actress’s remarks come months after her former partner, Aadar Jain, married Alekha Advani in February this year. One video from the wedding, which went viral, features Aadar joking that he had to “do timepass for four years” to be with Alekha—coincidentally, the exact duration of his relationship with Tara. Though Tara made no direct reference to the viral video or the relationship, her reflections throughout the podcast spoke volumes.
“It’s been a very rough time, I think for all of us. For me, in the last few years—both professionally and personally—there have been some great highs and some very painful lows,” Tara shared. Rather than letting those moments define her, she said the real shift came from sitting with herself, understanding her emotions, and mindfully learning how to respond to life’s curveballs. “Thank God I’m connected to myself enough and thoughtful enough as a person. I’ve taught myself how I would like to respond to things… and that has changed the game for me.”
Describing the post-COVID years as an “energetically heavy time,” Tara spoke not just of her own challenges, but of the widespread emotional fatigue she’s observed in others as well. “Everybody’s hurt, everybody’s stressed. Nobody is being good to one another. Human beings have changed. The world has changed,” she said.
Yet, despite the pain and disillusionment, Tara Sutaria emerges from the conversation not as someone weighed down by bitterness, but as someone who’s done the hard work of self-reflection. “I wasn’t strong or tough growing up,” she admitted. “But now I am, because I’ve spent time understanding myself. If anyone’s watching this and going through a rough time—just sit with yourself. Understand how you want to respond to it. You’ll help yourself through it.”
