NEW DELHI: External affairs minister S Jaishankar on Wednesday addressed the Rajya Sabha on Operation Sindoor, reaffirming the Centre’s position on its response following the Pahalgam terror attack. He outlined the government’s decisive actions, including diplomatic steps like the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty and the launch of Operation Sindoor, as part of a clear and firm message against terrorism.Responding to opposition chatter and repeated claims by US President Donald Trump that the United States mediated a ceasefire between India and Pakistan, Jaishankar firmly denied any such involvement. He stated, “22 April se 16 June tak, ek bhi phone call President Trump aur Prime Minister Modi ke beech mein nahi hua.”
