Netizens feel that drama is being played out, as until June 2025, Priya’s daughter’s name on Instagram was Safira Chatwal. Now, she suddenly removed the ‘Chatwal’ surname, and Priya went from ‘Priya Sachdev Kapur’ to ‘Priya Sunjay Kapur’.

For the unversed, it was on June 12, 2025, that Sunjay passed away due to a sudden heart attack. Netizens have been puzzled over Priya and Safira suddenly changing their surnames. They shared that Priya moved into Sunjay’s home with Safira way before he was divorced from his earlier wife, Karisma Kapoor. Users shared that Karisma’s kids’ inheritance was at risk as Priya has the company’s CEO, along with some board members, on her side.
